It was produced by Gracie Films and 20th Television Animation. The primary showrunner for the season is Matt Selman. In addition to the Fox broadcast season, four additional episodes were commissioned by Disney+ and released exclusively through their platform. On April 2, 2025, it was announced that the series was renewed for four more seasons.
