American football player (1934–2026)
Christian Adolph "Sonny" Jurgensen III was an American professional football quarterback for 18 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins. He played college football for the Duke Blue Devils. Jurgensen was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1983. He was also a longtime color commentator for Washington's radio broadcast crew.
