Sir Sherard Louis Cowper-Coles is a British former diplomat, currently serving as Vice President and Corporate Secretary of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). He was the Foreign Secretary's Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan in 2009–2010. After leaving the Foreign Office, he worked briefly for BAE Systems as international business development director. He left BAE Systems in 2013 to become senior adviser to the group chairman and group chief executive of HSBC, before joining the AIIB in 2025. He is also president of the Jane Austen Society.
