Presidency of William Henry Harrison

Wikipedia Overview

William Henry Harrison was the 9th president of the United States, from March to April 1841. Harrison served the least amount of time of any president at 31 days. He was the first president to die in office, which triggered a brief constitutional crisis since presidential succession was ambiguous in the U.S. Constitution. He was the last president born prior to the U.S. Declaration of Independence in 1776, making him a British subject. A member of the Harrison family of Virginia, he was a son of Founding Father Benjamin Harrison V, the father of John Scott Harrison, and the paternal grandfather of Benjamin Harrison, the 23rd president of the United States.
