Of its 14 full member schools, all but one are located in Virginia; the other is in North Carolina. The conference also has three associate members: one in Virginia, one in North Carolina, and one in Washington, D.C. The ODAC is unique in that its membership includes co-ed colleges, women's colleges, and a men's college.
