The Milwaukee Project was the name given to a program begun in the 1960s designed to improve the IQs and scholastic achievement of children at risk and to study the effects of intellectual stimulation on children from deprived environments. That name was originally intended to reflect the very positive results achieved according to its initial evaluation but upon further research the name became more of an irony as it was found that most of the data was fabricated without any evidence of the miraculous gains claimed at first.
