The Kiyevsky suburban railway line connects central Moscow with the stations in the southwest, in particular, with the towns of Aprelevka, Naro-Fominsk, Balabanovo, Obninsk, Maloyaroslavets, and Kaluga as well as with the outlying, mostly rural Novomoskovsky and Troitsky administrative okrugs of Moscow.
