Karen is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from January 30 to June 19, 1975, for 13 episodes. It stars Karen Valentine as Karen Angelo, an employee at a citizens' lobbying organization called Open America in Washington, DC. A mid-season replacement, it was canceled after four months due to low ratings. It was developed by Gene Reynolds and Larry Gelbart, the executive producers of M*A*S*H at the time. Like that series, it is partly dramatic and partly comedic and addresses political issues topical in the post-Watergate era, as well as Karen Angelo's life as a single woman.
