Jean-Jacques Hatt was a French archaeologist and historian who specialised in Celtic and Roman Gaul. For much of his career he held three posts at Strasbourg at once: director of antiquities for Alsace and Moselle, curator of the city's archaeological museum, and holder of the chair of national antiquities at the University of Strasbourg. He worked on the chronology of French protohistory and on the archaeology and religion of Roman Gaul, and he was president of the Société préhistorique française in 1963.
