They finished sixth in Division Two of the County Championship, as well as sixth in Group B of the ECB40 and fifth in the Mid/Wales/West Group of the Twenty20 Cup, missing out on the knockout stage of both competitions. In the limited-overs formats, the team rebranded as "Welsh Dragons" in an effort to reinforce the club's status as the representative of the whole of Wales in county cricket.
