(Arthur William) Douglas Cooper, who also published as Douglas Lord, was a British art historian, art critic and art collector. He mainly collected Cubist works. During World War II he worked first as an interrogator and subsequently as an investigator of the trade in stolen artworks. After the war he bought a chateau in Provence and converted it into a gallery of early cubist art.
