Christoffersen is a Danish-Norwegian patronymic surname, literally meaning son of Christoffer, the North Germanic form of the Greek given name Χριστόφορος, Christóphοros. There are two less common spelling variants Kristoffersen and Christophersen; they have identical pronunciation.
