Andrew Jackson and slavery

Wikipedia Overview

Andrew Jackson, the seventh U.S. president, held enslaved people and sold enslaved people. Unlike previous enslaving presidents Thomas Jefferson and George Washington, Jackson "never questioned the morality of slavery." Jackson personally owned 95 people when he was first sworn in as the U.S. president and 150 at the time of his death in 1845.
