An Incident at the Opera Ball on Mardi Gras in 1778

Wikipedia Overview

An Incident at the Opera Ball on Mardi Gras in 1778 was an affair that almost led to a serious duel within the Royal Family of France. The two protagonists were Charles-Philippe de France, Comte d'Artois – who became Charles X, King of France, in 1824 – and Louis VI Henri Joseph de Bourbon-Condé, Duc de Bourbon.
