It was hosted by Morocco from 17 October to 8 November 2025. This was the first FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup to be held in Africa and the second Arab country to host it after Jordan in 2016. It was also the first edition to feature 24 teams. This was the first of five consecutive FIFA U-17 Women's World Cups to be held in Morocco, set to be played annually until 2029.
