Their home games were played at FedExField in Landover, Maryland for the 15th consecutive year. The Redskins failed to improve on their 2010 record of 6–10, meaning they finished last in the NFC East, but did manage to sweep the eventual Super Bowl champion New York Giants in the regular season, becoming only the sixth team to do so. They would be joined by the 2020 New Orleans Saints and the 2021 San Francisco 49ers.
