The 1998–99 Vancouver Grizzlies season was the fourth season for the Vancouver Grizzlies in the National Basketball Association. Due to a lockout, the regular season began on February 5, 1999, and was cut from 82 games to 50. The Grizzlies received the second overall pick in the 1998 NBA draft, and selected point guard Mike Bibby from the University of Arizona, and acquired rookie shooting guard, and first-round draft pick Felipe López from the San Antonio Spurs. During the off-season, the team signed free agents Cherokee Parks, and second-year guard DeJuan Wheat.
