The 1992–93 Miami Heat season was the fifth season for the Miami Heat in the National Basketball Association. The Heat had the twelfth overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft, and selected shooting guard Harold Miner from the University of Southern California, and acquired John Salley from the Detroit Pistons during the off-season; Salley won two NBA championships with the Pistons between 1989 and 1990.
