The 1990–91 Southampton F.C. season was the club's 90th season of competitive football and their 21st in the First Division of the Football League. The season was a disappointing one for the Saints, who finished 14th in the league, marking Chris Nicholl's joint worst result as manager. Outside the First Division, the Saints reached the fifth round of both the FA Cup and the League Cup, and the third round of the Full Members' Cup. 1990–91 was Southampton's final season to feature Nicholl as manager – he was sacked upon the season's end in June 1991.
